ABOUT THE ROLE

This role is a Permanent position on a 9-day fortnight or 4-day week, DIDO to our Worsley Alumina Refinery, which is a short drive from Collie (15 minutes), Bunbury (45 minutes), and other nearby scenic communities.

As the Electrical Engineer, you will be part of the design services multi-disciplined engineering and drafting team providing engineering to support the operation.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:

• Provide low voltage and instrumentation engineering and commissioning support for Brownfield tollgated projects, in line with South32 Worsley and Australian Standards
• Engineer fit-for-purpose solutions, provide estimates and work packs, ensure blueprint information is correct and provide commissioning support from the start of a project through to handover
• Where workload dictates, duties also include managing external engineering service providers
• Contribute to the development of site standards and procedures for electrical and instrumentation

ABOUT YOU

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• Significant experience in a similar role within mining or heavy industry
• Experience with a broad range of industrial low voltage power and control equipment such as motors, MCCs and VSD's
• Broad range of instrumentation and industrial control systems knowledge
• Expertise in equipment commissioning

Qualifications for this position are:

• Degree qualified in Electrical, Instrument or Mechatronics Engineering Recognised by Engineers Australia (Desirable)
• Or experience and proven performance that enables work execution at a level that would otherwise be expected from a person with an engineering qualification
