If so, this is your opportunity to live, work and play a short drive from stunning coastlines, scenic trails and the food and wine heartland of the west.Located in the picturesque south-west and Peel regions of Western Australia, South32 Worsley Alumina is on a journey to become the world's leading Alumina producer where our 1500 workforce value the lifestyle that Worsley Alumina has to offer.Our integrated Bauxite Mine, Alumina Refinery and Port Operation is creating the essential products needed for a sustainable low carbon future.WHAT SOUTH32 OFFERS26 weeks full-paid, or 52 weeks half-paid parental leave for primary carersThe opportunity to become a shareholder of South32 through our share plansOptions for additional superannuation contributionsAnnual short-term incentive bonus that recognises both your individual performance and the overall success of the businessABOUT THE ROLEThis role is a Permanent position on a 9-day fortnight or 4-day week, DIDO to our Worsley Alumina Refinery, which is a short drive from Collie (15 minutes), Bunbury (45 minutes), and other nearby scenic communities.As the Electrical Engineer, you will be part of the design services multi-disciplined engineering and drafting team providing engineering to support the operation.Other key responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:Provide low voltage and instrumentation engineering and commissioning support for Brownfield tollgated projects, in line with South32 Worsley and Australian StandardsEngineer fit-for-purpose solutions, provide estimates and work packs, ensure blueprint information is correct and provide commissioning support from the start of a project through to handoverWhere workload dictates, duties also include managing external engineering service providersContribute to the development of site standards and procedures for electrical and instrumentationABOUT YOUYou will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:Significant experience in a similar role within mining or heavy industryExperience with a broad range of industrial low voltage power and control equipment such as motors, MCCs and VSD'sBroad range of instrumentation and industrial control systems knowledgeExpertise in equipment commissioningQualifications for this position are:Degree qualified in Electrical, Instrument or Mechatronics Engineering Recognised by Engineers Australia (Desirable)Or experience and proven performance that enables work execution at a level that would otherwise be expected from a person with an engineering qualificationSouth32 is committed to building and maintaining an inclusive and diverse workforce that reflects the communities in which we operate.
