The Role:

Our client are a Global financial business who require a senior .NET Engineer to help them deliver functional and valuable software to the business using the Microsoft .Net technology stack. The successful candidate will utilise your expertise and knowledge to contribute to and enhance the company software development and delivery process, both directly and through mentoring of more junior developers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop innovative, efficient and scalable solutions using .NET technologies
  • Work with business users and business analysts to understand the requirements.
  • Participate in systems and solution design.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
  • Perform reviews on code produced by your peers.
  • Ensure established coding standards are adhered to; contribute to enhancing existing standards.
  • Ensure all activities are undertaken in accordance with agreed service levels and procedures, maximising delivery of functional software with the least impact.
  • Deliver to quality standards.
  • Clearly articulate accurate status of work.
  • Mentor and transfer technical skills to other developers in the team.
Key Skills:
  • Over 5 years practical experience in .Net development.
  • Proficient with Microsoft software development technologies and tools i.e. .NET, MVC, WCF, Web API, Entity framework, SQL, etc.).
  • Experience with .NET Core, Angular, GIT is an advantage.
  • Ability to work across a mixed technology environment.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong analytical problem-solving capability including solution design.
  • Strong Database skills and experience.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps and cloud technologies such as Azure.
