The Lecturer in Management in Australia is equivalent to an assistant professor, and it is a balanced teaching and research role. We have three vacant positions and are recruiting inany subfield of management, including entrepreneurship, human resource management, international business, operations and supply chain, organisational behaviour, or strategy. The typical teaching schedule for lecturers in this role is three classes per academic year. The successful applicant will conduct high-impact research, teach undergraduate and postgraduate students, and supervise research students. They will make a positive contribution to the Department’s culture of collaboration and innovation, support delivery of strategic goals and enhance the reputation of the Department, School and University.

The successful applicant will have a PhD in management, a research program in a relevant area and a track record of high-quality publications. You will have proven ability to deliver research-led, applied, and engaging educational experiences and to take a collaborative approach in the way you work with others.

Macquarie University is a research-intensive university and The Macquarie Business School and the Department of Management engage in research-led teaching for undergraduate, postgraduate, MBA, and research degree students. We engage with industry and government and contribute to public discourse through expert commentary featured in print, radio, and online media.
Macquarie university is ranked by QS as 130 among the world’s universities. The business programs are also highly ranked, as the Masters of Management ranks as the second best such program in Australia and the top 50 globally along with the Masters of International Business, according to QS.

Essential selection criteria:
- A PhD in management or equivalent.
- Strong contributions to scholarship and research in management areas such as entrepreneurship, human resource management, organisational behaviour, operations, or strategy.
- Proven, high-quality research in management as indicated by publications in high-quality, journals (Rated A* or A in the Australian Business Deans’ Council journal ranking list).
- Record of teaching excellence and involvement in course development.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrated commitment to teamwork in the discipline, and a strong sense of professionalism and integrity in matters related to all academic activities.
