Transport for NSW's Smart Places Team is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Senior Project and Policy Officer to drive the development and implementation of positive and meaningful projects and policy initiatives aligned to the NSW Smart Places Strategy and the Net Zero Cities Action Plan.

As the Senior Project and Policy Officer, you play a pivotal role in in leading and executing priority projects within our Strategic Projects & Innovation team. Your role is integral to ensuring the seamless progression of projects from conception to completion while upholding the highest standards of excellence.

With your ability to synthesise and analyse intricate policies and information, you will prepare evidence-based, strategic recommendations to guide decision-making processes, formulation of strategies, and recommendations, and manage project delivery. Your keen ability to identify emerging issues, conduct comprehensive options analysis, and propose effective solutions will be instrumental in problem-solving and risk mitigation efforts.

 About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a proven track record of project management excellence with demonstrated experience in collaborating across a multidisciplinary team. Strong communication, both written and verbal are essential to articulate expert recommendations and advice, project objectives, progress and outcomes.

Adaptability and problem solving skills are critical for this role to allow you to navigate the complexities and sensitivities of project and policy implementations. Exceptional organisational abilities and attention to detail are paramount as you simultaneously coordinate and deliver multiple projects which are often complex and interconnected, ensuring project timelines, budgets and resources are met to achieve outcomes.
