Psychologist - Employment or Contractor Role, Full-Time or Part-Time

This position involves assisting clients through Mental Health Care Plans (MHCPs) & referrals.

We are offering an opportunity to work on client-focused counselling within a medical practice environment.

The ideal candidate should possess the necessary skills and expertise to provide professional and compassionate counselling services that meet each client's unique needs.

About you

You are highly motivated and passionate and thrive on the challenge of counselling clients with various presentations in a collaborative medical environment.

You have strong written and verbal communication skills and are an active listener.

About the role

With such high demand for mental health support, our practice is on the lookout for a Psychologist to join our practice on a full-time or part-time basis, as either an employee or a contractor, to support clients with their Mental health care plans.

We are a dynamic and fast-growing private group with a position available in Parramatta. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will have the full support of the Psychologists, Receptionist, administration, marketing, and systems teams.

Skills & experience

Key requirements:

  • General registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA
  • Demonstrated ability to engage clients and staff effectively
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team environment
  • Willing to work with clients who present with a variety of presentations.
  • Experience with trauma is preferred 
  • Dedication to providing high-quality counselling to all clients
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills

Responsibilities

  • Conduct client sessions professionally and positively always
  • Work with a diverse client base with a range of presentations
  • Conducting client assessments as required, including comprehensive history taking and relevant assessments to aid in formulation and treatment plans
  • To evaluate and research as needed to prepare interventions and treatment plans effectively
  • To continually evaluate individual client progress to make intervention or treatment adjustments as needed
  • Month Internal PD sessions
