Job Description: Financial Accountant
Location: Adelaide or Melbourne (Hybrid role, with flexible work-from-home arrangements)
Employment Type: Part-Time (0.8 FTE)

Bluethumb is Australia's largest online art marketplace, connecting collectors, artists, and art enthusiasts. We pride ourselves on fostering creativity and supporting the Australian art community.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Perform month-end reconciliations.
- Prepare financial statements, reports, and forecasts.
- Prepare IAS and BAS.
- Oversee month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare accounts for tax returns.
- Conduct FBT analysis.
- Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and cost control duties.
- Process monthly payroll.
- Manage contractor payments.
- Prepare contracts for HR.
Ideal Candidate
- Located in Adelaide or Melbourne (applications from further afield will be considered).
- Comfortable with hybrid working arrangements, ideally working in the office 2 days per week.
- Experienced, efficient, and seeking work-life balance.
- Flexible with hours, focusing on task completion and quality of work.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years accounting experience.
- CA or CPA qualification recommended.
- Hands-on experience with Xero

- Handle all accounting operations within an SME Australian business.
- Enter transactions and journals into Xero, manage month-end processes, and prepare financial statements.
- Work independently with minimal supervision, though support is available from the outgoing CFO and external chartered accounting firm Manos Partners.
- Utilize systems well-set by the outgoing CFO, who will be joining the Board of Directors and is available to assist during the transition.
- Support Structure
- Reports to the CEO: Assistance from Manos Partners Chartered Accounting firm (Adelaide) for tax-related matters and specific queries.
- Support from the former CFO, who will be on the Board of Directors.
