Confluence Water Pty Ltd (Confluence Water), a joint venture between Ventia, Downer, and Jacobs, is part of Sydney Water's Partnering for Success program. We provide design, construction, maintenance, and facilities management services in Sydney Water's North region, extending from Sydney Harbour to the Hawkesbury River, including the Hills Shire.

Due to an expansion into the capital works phase, we are looking for a new Environmental Advisor to join our dynamic Environment and Sustainability Team. The team offers support to our construction and maintenance teams in the northern region by providing advice and expertise in environmental management.

Our projects range from construction in National Parks to other high environmental risk profiles. You will have the chance to work on various environmental aspects, such as acid sulphate soils management, groundwater dewatering, contamination management, and heritage preservation.

The team emphasizes respect, inclusiveness, and a positive work environment. Our head office is in Chatswood, near the public transport interchange, with satellite and project offices throughout the northern region.

ABOUT YOU
  1. Relevant Tertiary degree (preference for postgraduate qualifications) in environmental engineering, environmental science, statutory or strategic planning, environmental management, or related discipline.
  2. At least two years' environmental management experience, including expertise in environmental management systems and plans.
  3. Experience in the water/wastewater industry is advantageous.
  4. A good understanding of relevant NSW State and Commonwealth legislation.
  5. Day-to-day management of all on-site environmental aspects within their designated areas.
