The organisation

Small to medium sized federal government agency, with offices based across Australia and a HR team dispersed throughout.

The roleThis agency is seeking two experienced Senior Employee Relations Advisors to support a range of employee relations functions including:

  • advice and support around legislative, EA and policy interpretation
  • policy and employment framework development
  • supporting workplace arrangements projects, like EA bargaining and determinations
  • guidance and
  • case management support to managers and staff on performance and conduct processes

Your skills and experience

As the subject matter expert for Employee Relations, you will work in a small team of ER specialists, providing advice and sound decisions aligned with policy and legislation. As a trusted adviser to the HR team and broader agency you will have the ability to build strong stakeholder networks working in a collaborative manner, balancing that with resolving issues and mitigating emerging risks.

This is an APS6 level role, engagement as non-ongoing contractor for 12 months or if you are already an ongoing APS employee, they can consider an ongoing s26 transfer. A baseline clearance is required for this role (or the ability to obtain one).
