About you:

This role would suit an individual who has prior experience working within a tax advisory role. At Boyce, we foster a collaborative environment that promotes team growth and provides expert tax advice to diverse clients. You will be able to handle tax advisory and compliance for various entities, manage multiple projects across industries, and produce well-researched tax opinions. Responsibilities include providing tax advice, managing tax compliance obligations, assisting with regulatory reviews, improving tax processes, mentoring colleagues, staying updated on tax law changes, and pursuing personal development.

We’d like to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in public practice in an advisory capacity
  • An advanced understanding of the Australian Taxation Framework and legislation
  • A strong knowledge of compliance and reporting requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing income tax, GST and FBT returns and other compliance obligations. Tax effect accounting knowledge and experience is preferred
  • An ability to prepare high-quality client-ready deliverables and present to the leadership team for review
  • Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Accounting or Law (Taxation)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a passion for tax
  • A can-do attitude. Ability to work autonomously but also be a team player
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal skills to articulate complex information in a clear and concise manner
  • Solid research, writing and analytical skills with an interest to develop these further
  • Dedication to continuous personal learning and development. You actively seek out opportunities for growth
