Reporting to Head of Technology & Strategy (Pay), the purpose of the Servicing Engineering Leader role is to lead Latitude Pay’s engineering in leading all secured customer & merchant services platforms and associated services including identity management. Both customer and merchant portals are significant assets for Latitude that drives customer/merchant engagement, enables self-servicing and powers business growth. This role is responsible for leading the team that creates and design new features, maintaining existing features and working with product & platform team to develop innovative solutions that meets Pay’s growing consumer and merchant needs.

The role includes:
  1. Collaborating with technical leaders to set out a vision and platform standards for our mobile engineering team
  2. Leading all platforms application design, development, and release activities including supporting testing team to use new strategies/techniques to test changes
  3. Leading a group of high performing engineers, mentoring, promoting best practices in the team, and maintaining high level of code quality
  4. Enabling a high-performance engineering culture, which attracts and retains top talent, advocate internally and externally the technology vision, opportunities, and culture
  5. Defining, guiding, and expanding capability of associated platforms and engineering team delivering highly scalable, secured, and reusable applications/services
  6. Collaborating with platform squad members i.e. product owners, UI/UX designers, API engineers, and testers to define, design, develop, and deliver new features and an awesome user experience
  7. Establishing and nurturing conceptual feedback channels with visual design and backend teams
  8. Assisting prioritizing feature development along with product team
  9. Identifying performance bottlenecks, optimizing and instrumenting mobile development practices to continue to improve application performance and security
  10. Ensuring optimum value is extracted from all investments, measuring, reporting on insights, influencing appropriate change

Ideally, we’re looking for someone with:

  1. Deep experience driving technology change and improvement always considering customer and employee impact as well as compliance to legislation and regulations
  2. Experience leading agile development teams to deliver continuous delivery of features prioritized for platforms owned
  3. Strong technical expertise in frontend (React.js) & backend technologies (Golang), cloud infrastructure services (AWS), and various SaaS/payment platforms e.g. eCommerce platforms/plugins, Identity Management solutions etc.
  4. Comfortable diving into code and possessing a deep understanding of how technology solutions are implemented
  5. Ability to effectively communicate complex technical issues to influence senior stakeholders and gain agreement on direction of investment into Pay’s architecture
  6. Experience adding value to multiple initiatives and changing priorities in a very dynamic environment and quickly assess and address the viability/ impact of new or emerging technologies
  7. Broad knowledge of multiple modern technologies, applications, and architecture (cloud and non-cloud)
  8. Advocate of contemporary engineering practices and culture including DevOps, automation, interoperability, agile, design thinking, and user experience practices
  9. Driven by providing progressive, innovative solutions that lead the industry
  10. Excellent conflict resolution skills, enabling key issues to be resolved effectively
  11. Leader of people and growth mindsets whilst always being a thought leader and keeping up with the latest trends and news

Minimum 3+ years of people leadership experience is a MUST.
