At TechnologyOne, our mission is to provide unparalleled Enterprise SaaS Solutions to our valued customers. We are currently in search of a dynamic and seasoned General Manager to lead a diverse team accountable for delivering continuous improvement initiatives across the R&D business.
As the General Manager R&D Operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and effective functioning of our R&D organisation. You will develop and lead a collaborative and achievement-focused team to drive continuous improvement programs and frameworks that enhance efficiency and scale across operations support, process excellence, quality, technical release management & incident management.
What you'll be doing…
- Ensure timely product releases as per schedule.
- Foster an engineering culture for desired outcomes aligned with strategic goals, emphasising innovation, collaboration, and productivity.
- Optimise R&D efficiency and effectiveness by identifying and resolving bottlenecks, improving processes, and enhancing resource utilization.
- Collaborate with leadership to align R&D activities with broader company strategies.
- Manage overall R&D operations including budget, capacity, contractors, incidents, and risks.
- Compile and deliver executive reports on key performance indicators, milestones, and strategic initiatives.
- Lead operational change management efforts to adapt to evolving market conditions and technologies, and deliver on customer needs.
- Create a nurturing environment for employee growth and skill enhancement in collaboration with HR and senior R&D leaders.
- Industry and technical knowledge (TechnologyOne specific is ideal).
- Demonstrated superior commercial acumen and decision making when balancing competing priorities across cross functional teams.
- Demonstrated experience and proven ability to build and lead high performing teams to deliver strategic goals.
- Background in running successful strategy and operations teams to deliver on business objectives.
