Solution Architect

Join a dynamic team as a Solution Architect and be responsible for defining end to end technology solutions that are consistent with domain and group architecture. This role will develop end to end solutions for the business that are aligned with the strategy and enterprise architecture of the organisation. As a Solution Architect, you will take overall architectural ownership of insurance initiatives from initiation through to delivery and will work with architects and delivery managers across the technology group. The goal is to deliver value to the business by ensuring that technology solutions are well architected and executed.
What you'll do:
- Define current state, transition states, and target state solution architectures aligned with domain and group architecture, ensuring clear understanding of business and IT strategy.
- Provide design leadership by designing for reuse and deployment across the group, ensuring implementability within risk parameters, performance, scalability, and security compliance.
- Provide overall technical leadership to project teams, ensuring end-to-end solutions meet business needs, while offering technical advice and guidance to stakeholders and mentoring architects and technical leads.
- Actively monitor project compliance with architecture, reviewing system designs, and conducting peer reviews of architecture deliverables to ensure adherence to applicable strategies.
- Promote continuous improvement by contributing to domain standards, team process improvement initiatives, and enhancing the architectural approach within the domain and wider architecture community.
- Engage with technology vendors, conduct product evaluations, and stay abreast of market activities to identify opportunities for advancement, rationalization, and reinvestment, promoting innovation and growth within the organization.
What you'll bring:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related disciplines, or equivalent experience is required.
- Minimum of 5+ years in architecture/design and 8+ years in technology-related roles.
- Excellent familiarity with architecture frameworks and methodologies, with TOGAF certification desired.
- Proven experience as a Digital Solution Architect, demonstrating a deep understanding of digital technologies and architectures, including APIs, microservices, and data analytics.
- Understanding of the entire technology stack, from authentication and user interface to integration platforms, DevSecOps, customer master, and data analytics.
- Strong business acumen demonstrated by articulating and solving critical business problems.
- Familiarity with ArchiMate and experience with Agile & Lean methodologies is desired.
- Experience in banking or financial services is preferred.
