About the Role

*This is a 2 years Fixed Term, Full-Time Position*

The Change Management workstream is responsible for organisational change management and business operational readiness activities to support the FPTT program. Along the lifecycle of the program this includes change management strategy and planning, business process mapping, readiness plans, training development and delivery and delivery integration to ensure a smooth transition from project to operations.

The Change Manager is responsible for developing change strategies, plans, and supporting artefacts for the key project streams to support the ABT transition and business readiness. Working as part of the Change Management workstream in the FPPT project, this role plays a critical part in ensuring project outcomes are realised and optimised through a seamless transition to ABT

Position Outcomes / Accountabilities

  • Worked with program and project leads to integrate change management with the FPPT program to ensure effective and efficient delivery of program outcomes.
  • Collaborated with Customer, Operations, Communications, and any other stakeholders to deliver an integrated people change service to the business.
  • Facilitated the design, development and ownership of Change Management Strategy/Plans and ensure that appropriate Change Management inputs were incorporated into the overall Project Plan.
  • Provided expert change input to the review and assessment of any changes proposed to the operational model, acting as the main conduit between the project team and DTP for all program transition related matters.

Key Selection Criteria

To be successful in the role, the ideal candidate will excel in leading and navigating change, implementing structured change management initiatives while providing clarity and leadership during times of uncertainty. They must possess strong project delivery skills, translating strategies into actionable programs, defining governance measures, and effectively managing risks. Additionally, adept communication, influence, and partnering skills are essential for fostering collaboration, gaining buy-in, and building partnerships to achieve organizational objectives. A systems thinking approach is also crucial, enabling them to diagnose trends, identify opportunities, and understand the interconnectedness of internal and external environments to inform decision-making and drive effective change management strategies. Their ability to coach others in the co-creation process and navigate differences of opinion to reach decisions, coupled with a commitment to delivering timely and quality outcomes, will further enhance their effectiveness in driving organizational change.

On a personal level, the candidate will be skilled in working collaboratively, guiding others to foster a culture of collaboration, overcoming barriers to knowledge sharing, and identifying opportunities for cross-team cooperation. Additionally, they will demonstrate resilience, maintaining composure under pressure, making decisive decisions, and guiding teams through challenging situations effectively.

Qualifications and Experience

Mandatory 

  • Has delivered a set of actionable and targeted change management plans to support the needs of a complex program, including change readiness activities to prepare internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience leading the change management of several projects and managing Change Analysts.
  • Can demonstrate experience in providing specialist advice to project stakeholders on the selection of change, communications and stakeholder management approaches, tools, and processes such that the collective outcomes required by the impacted business and the project are delivered effectively.
  • A relevant tertiary qulaification or change certification such as PROSCI.
  • Experience overseeing change processes for new technologies, services or contracts, preferably in public transport or ticketing.
