We are seeking applications for a Deputy Principal (Special Education, who will lead a dynamic Inclusive Practices team.

This role is offered on a temporary full-time basis, from 03 June 2024 until 13 September 2024, unless otherwise determined.

About You

Pimpama State Secondary College is seeking an energetic leader to lead the Inclusive Practices team. In this role you will work with staff, students, parents, stakeholders and outside agencies to engage our students with disabilities. The Deputy Principal (Inclusive Practices) role requires a leader who is dynamic, agile and committed to success for every student.

Your Role

As a Deputy Principal (Inclusive Practices), you will:

  • Assist the Principal to lead the school community through the school special education program (SEP) or early childhood development program (ECDP) to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
  • Deputise for the Principal when required.
  • Uphold the deputy principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
  • Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
  • Form partnerships with parents, other government agencies, community groups, industry and business.
  • Lead and assist with the implementation of intensive interventions and support programs aligned with tier 3 support strategies through a disability-informed lens.
  • Build capability of inclusive practices across the college.
  • Active participation in the development and implementation of the school improvement priorities and improvement strategies (AIP 2024) aligned to the DoE Equity and Excellence.
