About OricaAbout the role
As the Senior Manager – Marketing for our global Cyanide business, your skills and experience are essential to delivering Strategic Marketing outcomes across our global portfolio of Cyanide products, services and technology solutions to customers. Your role will be responsible for maximising the profitability and long-term growth of Orica’s global Cyanide business by providing marketing and strategic support at a global level but also to Orica’s regional business units.
You will also provide product and marketing support to customer teams, analyse and develop pricing frameworks and policy, will be key to success in this role. As a member of our dynamic, high performing Cyanide team, you will partner with cross functional and regional teams in Commercial, Global Marketing and Technology to deliver successful product and service outcomes for our customers. Reporting through to the Head of Global Cyanide, this critical role will be responsible for driving Orica’s global Cyanide strategic marketing and pricing with a strong focus on executing the global strategy to profitability of the global Cyanide business.
- Support the development and execution of the global strategy to optimise the profitability of the global Cyanide business.
- Drive strategic marketing through understanding market trends and new market opportunities by providing market intelligence and voice of the customer feedback.
- Oversee the preparation of the monthly global pricing policy and monitoring of adherence globally.
- Lead the development of regular competitor analyses, including the monitoring of competitor activity to support NBA analyses.
- Oversee the development of effective organic and inorganic growth initiatives, including identification of technology and supply partners to enhance the business portfolio.

- Support the regions in the preparation and review of their customer proposals.
- Monitor external sales performance and provide information to regions to assist in its management.
- Contribute to continual improvement in the demand forecast accuracy and support the monthly S&OP process.
- Coaching, mentoring and developing junior members of the team.
- Role ideally suited to individuals with 10+ years’ work experience, with at least 3 of these spent in a commercial,
- marketing or strategy role.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in business, economics, engineering, finance, science or equivalent.
- Proven experience working with and influencing executive leadership and cross-functional teams, leading crossfunctional projects from conception to completion.
- A willingness to challenge the status quo, learn new knowledge domains quickly, and socialise different
- approaches and points of view.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated skills associated with building strong vendor &/or customer relationships.
- Able to build structure in ambiguous situations and establish best practices.
