Hays are proud to be working with this leading Organisation in their search for a Senior Accountant to join their team on a permanent full-time basis. A leader in their field, they are looking for a capable Senior Accountant who enjoys working in a broad role.
Your new role
Based in the Hobart CBD, and reporting into the Chief Financial Officer, this is an integral role that runs the day-to-day financial operations of the business with a high level of autonomy. As the Senior Accountant, your key responsibilities will include.
- Lead a small team
- Prepare monthly, annual financial statements and other reports
- Work with the broader business to improve the financial performance of the business
- Financial Accounting, including liaising with auditors as required
- Provide system improvements and efficiencies
- Other project related work as required
A self-starter, you'll ideally be degree qualified, and have completed your CA/CPA. You'll have demonstrated experience in a similar role.
With a dedication to continuous improvement, you will be financially savvy with advanced excel skills.
Your excellent communication skills will be underpinned by strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities through which you can demonstrate good judgement and financial acumen. You'll enjoy working with a small team, liaising with various stakeholders across the business and enjoy working with a high level of autonomy.
Prior to commencement, you'll need to undergo a national police check, and obtain a WWVP check.
