THE COMPANY

An emerging Allied Health company who operate solely within the Paediatric and Adolescent space are expanding their team to meet the demand of their local communities. They offer Psychology, Speech, Occupational Therapy and social skills groups for children between the ages of 0 and 18, and their families. Situated in the idyllic setting of Glen Iris with all the convenience and amenities you would expect from a Melbourne Metro Hub it boasts an easy commute to either Bourke Road in Camberwell or the Chadstone behemoth in Malvern for all of your recreational retail needs. Additionally, multiple public transport lines converge here across bus, tram and train so getting around this great city is a breeze.

THE CULTURE

They welcome feedback and input into how the services can be improved and offer an annual PD allowance to enable their teams to up skill in any relevant areas/disciplines.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the CEO and Principal Speech Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning for participants between the ages of 1 and 18. Additionally you will provide education and tools to carers and families to allow therapy to continue outside of session. This role will begin as a privately billed offering with the hopes of developing into an NDIS service provider in the near future. There are also opportunities for experienced clinicians to help lead this team.

THE ESSENTIALS

  • Tertiary qualification related to Occupational Therapy and current, General AHPRA registration
  • Full, unrestricted working rights within Australia
  • Current Working With Childrens (WWCC) and National Police Checks
  • Experience working with paediatric populations
  • A willingness and eligibility for an NDIS workers screening check (later stages)
  • Be open to learning and adapting as they integrate technology and therapy
