Summary:
Leading a component of the testing/QA portfolio.
Leads overall testing effort; monitors execution status and escalates risk areas as needed. Oversees all aspects of Quality Assurance including: establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools/processes to ensure quality goals are met. Acts as key point of contact for all Quality Assurance (QA) aspects of release. Manages and provides work direction to a team of Test Analysts. Reviews test strategy/plans and ensures plans are followed. Defines and implements Quality Assurance processes that are followed throughout the Software Development life cycle.
Responsibilities:
- Pivotal liaison between customers; project teams and key stakeholders regarding testing effort and status, key test milestone deliverables and dependencies, along with change and release
- Ensuring that appropriate testing, risk assessment and compliance to Novigi’s documented Testing and Quality Standards is achieved prior to recommending software to be deployment into production
- Identifying, developing and refining an appropriate test framework, processes, methodologies, infrastructure, disciplines and measurements across all technologies
- Identifying the Test capability required to meet current and future project demand (resources and environments) and sourcing these in the specialised technical disciplines;
- Ensure testing schedules are provided and tracked for large scale projects in conjunction with key stakeholders (IT Tech leads and project Managers)
- Coordinating software changes and releases through all stages of the development lifecycle including the effective liaison of the production coordination of the release with key deployment personnel
- Measuring and reporting of results throughout the stages of the development life cycle for the product(s) /functionality under test and the efforts of test team itself, monitoring the effectiveness of the releases once deployed and providing metrics on the quality of the systems implemented
Qualifications and Experience:
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to directly communicate with clients and internal stakeholders
- 5 - 10 years’ experience in IT with a strong background in application testing.
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies and processes.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
- Experience working on QA Automation tools (eg: Selenium, Tosca,Cucumber, REST Assured etc) is mandatory.
- Experience in software QA tools such as SoapUI, Postman, Apache JMeter is mandatory.
- Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting.
- Experience in Xray Test Management tool.
- Experience with AWS/Azure cloud provider is a plus.
- Thorough knowledge on the software development cycle (includes testing and release management)
