The Sydney Metro West - Central Tunnelling Package Project is seeking a highly motivated Sustainability Manager to join our team. This exciting role will play a pivotal role in ensuring the project meets the highest sustainability standards and integrates best practices throughout the construction lifecycle.
- Manage the ongoing implementation and compliance of the Sustainability Management Plan for the project, ensuring that it is aligned with project objectives, legislative requirements, and industry best practices.
- Oversee the identification, evaluation, and implementation of sustainable construction practices, materials, and technologies to minimise the project's environmental footprint.
- Lead the development and submission of Infrastructure Sustainability Council of Australia (ISCA) ratings submissions, ensuring compliance with all relevant ISCA requirements.
- Identify and manage risks associated with sustainability performance and develop mitigation strategies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with the project client, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders on sustainability matters.
- Provide regular reports on the project's sustainability performance to the project team and client.
To be successful in the role you will have:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Sustainability or other related field.
- Highly Preferred: Accreditation as an Infrastructure Sustainability Accredited Professional (ISAP) by the Infrastructure Sustainability Council of Australia (ISCA).
- Experience developing and implementing successful sustainability strategies for major construction projects.
- In-depth knowledge of ISCA rating schemes and a strong understanding of sustainable construction principles.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
