Your opportunity
We are currently seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our project team in Brisbane.
You will be responsible for:
- Monitor and control all project accounting systems and processes;
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial and management reports;
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of budgets and forecasts for programs and projects;
- Management of the month end accruals process and monthly/regular auditing requirements (both CIMIC and external);
- Management of timely and accurate payments to creditors and sub-contractors in accordance with trading terms and conditions;
- Coordinating the preparation of monthly project claims, including invoicing and support documentation;
- Ensure effective accounting and cost controls are in place at all times;
- Oversee and monitor accounts processing, ensuring the correct level of authorisation in accordance with company policy and legislation.
Our minimum requirements for this role are:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance and/or Business (preferred) and a holder of a CPA accreditation;
- Experience in a similar role including previous construction industry experience;
- JDEdwards experience would be highly regarded;
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and application;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
