About the job Operations Director - Cloud Kitchen

We are engaged by our client, a global Cloud Kitchen Developer with operations in the Middle East, who seeks an Operations Director to lead the expansion of their operations. This pivotal role is responsible for establishing and executing the operational strategy from the ground up. The role involves building a team of specialists, overseeing new kitchen establishments, and optimizing performance to drive growth and success in a competitive market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, define, and drive the operational strategy ensuring it aligns with our startup's vision and business objectives.
  • Establish and maintain high-quality operations, continuously optimizing kitchen and store performance to achieve operational excellence.
  • Recruit, train, and lead a team of specialists and elite players, fostering a culture of high performance, innovation, and exceptional customer service.
  • Lead the efforts in brand expansion, identifying opportunities for new kitchen establishments and ensuring successful launches in new markets.
  • Be accountable for the success and satisfaction of brands operated in our kitchens, ensuring they meet the highest standards.
  • Own business planning, sales, and profit (P&L) responsibilities for the entire operation, driving financial performance and growth.
  • Work closely with all company functions to ensure effective communication and coordination between kitchens and support teams.
  • Embrace the dynamic, fast-paced nature of a startup environment, displaying adaptability, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to challenges.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in the Cloud Kitchen/restaurant or F&B industry, with 2 years in a senior operations role, ideally within a multi-unit or multi-branded environment.
  • Proven experience in a startup environment, with a track record of successfully establishing and scaling operations from the ground up.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • In-depth understanding of kitchen operations, sales, data analytics, and project management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use data to drive decisions and improvements.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment, demonstrating resilience and a can-do attitude.
  • Experience in the F&B market, with a strong understanding of local market dynamics.
