The Opportunity:
MAB Corporation are currently looking for an experienced Project Manager to join the team. The Project Manager will report into the General Manager of Project Management and work closely with the Project Director and Senior Development Manager on the Brompton Gasworks project.
Located in the thriving Bowden precinct, the Brompton Gasworks development is set to deliver a masterplanned community with a mix of residential dwellings, hotel, commercial and retail hubs. Within the residential mix the Brompton Gasworks is focussed on providing in excess of 15% affordable housing. The development will be a gas free precinct and in a South Australian first, all power across the project will be delivered via 100% renewable energy and will achieve a 6 Star Green Star community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with project delivery strategy including, design strategy, tender process, construction delivery strategy, set up and staging of the works and end user integration.
- Prepare tender contracts, recommend appropriate builders, manage tender process and awarding building contract.
- Provide design and construction costs and timing for Development feasibilities.
- Measuring and analysis of costs and timing for projects.
- Manage builder and consultant teams to finalise documentation and resolve documentation discrepancies.
- Interface with MAB teams as required.
- Ensure all internal reporting requirements are met.
- Develop and closely monitor project delivery progress via regular site inspections and program reviews with builder.
- Assist in cost management and budgeting of the construction delivery including input to internal and external PCG reports and meetings.
- Undertake all activities in accordance with the approved work health, safety and environmental (WHSE) policies and procedures of MAB.
What We're Looking For:
- 5 - 10 years experience in the construction industry with exposure to residential and commercial.
- Experience working for a building contractor.
- Experience to include detailed project management responsibilities on commercial and residential projects over $50M.
- Detailed knowledge of project design and construction, contract administration, cost control and programming.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to develop strong relationships with all stakeholders.
- Problem solving skills and ability to manage complex projects.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in construction, engineering, project management, construction management or similar.
