About the Role

The Branch Librarian Team Leader is required to ensure the delivery of a quality, customer focused library service including promoting a positive image of the library and Council. This position is responsiblefor leading and managing one of Council’s libraries.

Dailyyou will:

  • Coach and lead team members to provide exceptional customer service
  • Manage physical resources and the environment to provide welcoming and attractive spaces for our library users
  • Work closely with other Branch Team Leaders and other library teams to Supervise and coach relevant staff, liaise with other information and library staff
  • On occasion, you may be asked to work at anylocation in Parramatta Libraries.

AboutYou

You’ll have experience supervising teams and enjoy engaging proactively with customers. In addition to a positive and solutions-focussed approach, you’ll bring a track record of delivering a range of customer experiences, and willingness to give innovative ideas a go.

  • Recognised qualifications in Information Science/Librarianship (eligible for professional membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA)
  • Exceptional customer service, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
  • Current technology & marketing skills
  • Excellent communication skills in presentation, oral and written
  • Comprehensive understanding and development of the diverse community needs



What’s on offer

  • Branch Team Leader@ Wentworth Point Library:Parental leave contract opportunity up to 12 months. 35hrs per week including weekend and evening shifts.
  • Branch Team Leader@ Dundas Branch Library:Contract opportunity up to 5 months. 35hrs per week including weekend and evening shifts.

We are offering an attractive remuneration from $82,408 to $90.775 plus 11% superannuation.
