MARS are partnering with a large and listed company that boast a global presence and have several household brands under their umbrella. They're looking to hire a Senior FP&A Analyst on a permanent basis to join their high performing and vibrant team.

Overview:

Reporting directly to the Head of FP&A, this pivotal role is designed to support financial strategy, analysis, and decision-making. As the key liaison between business partnering teams and executive leadership, you will play a crucial part in providing strategic insights through comprehensive reporting to senior stakeholders both within the company and the Global HQ, driving commercial value.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Strategic Narratives: Analyse business performance trends and drivers to explain variances against budget and forecast. Craft and communicate these insights effectively to Executive Leadership and the Global HQ.
  • Reporting: Lead the preparation of weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports, ensuring they are accurate, insightful, and delivered on time.
  • Analysis: Analysing and monitoring non-financial metrics, competitor results, industry news, and macroeconomic factors to anticipate financial performance.
  • Collaboration: Partner with the Strategy team to support the development and execution of the company's strategic initiatives.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive opportunities for continuous process improvement, automation, and standardised reporting to enhance the finance function's efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ad-hoc Requests: Address ad-hoc requests from internal and external stakeholders as needed.

The Requirements:

  • CA/CPA qualified with 5+ years relevant experience.
  • Big 4 or Mid-Tier trained with subsequent commercial experience or first mover at a manager level (essential).
  • Possess strong commercial acumen, with the ability to translate financial results into compelling business narratives and actionable insights.
  • Ability to engage with stakeholders and build strong relationships.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Geart communications skills - both written and verbal.
  • A self-motivated, high performer with ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

To Note:

  • Experience in a Big 4 or Mid-Tier firm is essential.
  • Previous experience in the Big 4 or Mid-Tier Audit field with subsequent commercial experience is highly desired.
  • They operate a hybrid working model of 3 days in the office, 2 days from home.
