We're building the new AMP Bank: a fully digital bank with new products, delivered via a mobile app with killer features, to make banking easy for everyday Australians and small businesses. No paperwork. No red tape. No complicated processes or confusing financial chat. Just simple, smart banking; a tap away. The way banking should be.

We've got the tech. We've got the approach. We just need the team to help us take AMP Bank to market in early 2025 and make it the best digital banking experience Australia's ever seen.

We Need industry stirrer-uppers

You know: non-conformers. Those who are compelled to do something different. Who care enough about the customer to ask the big questions no one else will. Who want to know what if. What if we tweaked this, or toggled that. You zig when everyone else zags, disagree without being disagreeable, and love the rush of starting something new.

Specifically, Senior Engineer (Cloud and Infrastructure) not boxed in by job title

As a Senior Engineer Cloud/Infra, you'll be the guardian of our cutting-edge AWS infrastructure, with technical accountability for our I&O Platform and associated CICD/DevOps systems. When incidents strike, you'll swoop in, diagnosing problems, coordinating with stakeholders, and implementing solutions to restore services faster than a speeding bullet.

Monitoring and optimising the performance and scalability of AWS resources will be your superpower, leveraging autoscaling, load balancing and performance monitoring tools to identify bottlenecks and make lightning-fast adjustments. You'll design, deploy and manage our cloud infrastructure, provisioning virtual machines, networks, storage, load balancers and more, all while ensuring applications are scalable and resilient.

Continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines will be your bread and butter, as you design, implement, and manage these mission-critical workflows with GitHub and GitHub Actions mastery. Security will be your shield, implementing best practices across the CI/CD pipeline and containerized environments.

Monitoring and logging solutions will keep you one step ahead, ensuring system reliability and peak performance. When technical issues arise, your troubleshooting prowess will save the day, diagnosing and resolving problems across CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and infrastructure with surgical precision.

Collaboration will be your secret weapon, working closely with architecture teams to establish and enforce security policies, providing guardrails for development teams to operate with agility. You'll mitigate operational risks, delivering cloud services securely, and safeguarding AMP Bank, customers, and suppliers from potential threats, ensuring compliance with IT security policies and processes.

What matters

Your success will be measured by the resilience, scalability and peak performance of our AWS infrastructure and mission-critical applications. Highly proficient in Python, CloudFormation, Lambda, AppConfig, AWS Networking/Security and beyond, you'll wield these tools like a seasoned pro.

Communication and collaboration are skills of the highest importance, enabling seamless collaboration with software developers, QA engineers, and system administrators. Your problem-solving prowess, analytical mindset and natural leadership abilities will be instrumental in ensuring smooth deployment and operation of applications across the entire CI/CD lifecycle.

With your expertise in hand, our cloud infrastructure and DevOps workflows will operate like a well-oiled machine, enabling us to deliver exceptional digital experiences that delight our customers and solidify our position as a leading force in the realm of modern banking.

You'll help us build the new AMP Bank from scratch, and shape the culture the wider AMP business adopts. A lot of it will be trial and error and making mistakes, so you need to be comfortable with things not always going to plan. We are.

And we're 110% in this together. So, you won't go it alone, but you will be called to muck in and play your part. This is no place to hide. We want your ideas to be heard and celebrated. It's about moving fast, working together and being transparent in everything we do.
