Hudson is seeking a dedicated and skilled Data Specialist to join a large organisation. You will provide technical expertise in data analytics and develop strategies to meet the organisations current and future data reporting requirements. Collaborating closely within the team to implement key improvements in data capture, collation, storage, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop KPIs for the effective and efficient operations for the large organization.
  • Document data requirements, data dictionaries, and counting rules.
  • Implement general data management practices, processes, and tools.
  • Assess and improve data quality, cleaning and removing data as necessary.
  • Identify and address any missing data.
  • Establish and interrogate data sets, developing high-level reporting documents and tools such as operational forecasts, performance reports, workforce requirements, and strategic dashboards.
  • Lead the development of audience-relevant data visuals: dashboards, reports, graphics, etc.
  • Prepare reports, submissions, briefings, and correspondence.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analyze, interpret, and report data, coordinating data collection from multiple sources.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Essential Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in the identification, definition, and management of business-relevant data.
  • Proven ability to perform detailed data analysis, including trend analysis, report preparation, and provision of recommendations to leadership.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to produce accurate and timely solutions.
  • Sound research and analytical skills for investigating issues and analyzing business data to support ongoing service delivery improvement.
  • Experience in program data analytics, forecasting, and modelling methodologies.
  • Exceptional document and version control skills, ensuring the provision of current and contextual data for reporting and decision-making purposes.
  • Proficiency in preparing reports and complex written documentation within a structured framework.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to work autonomously, establish priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • High-level negotiation and liaison skills to achieve corporate outcomes, with the ability to effectively liaise with a range of stakeholders.
  • Capability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and work in a team environment.
  • Experience in the interpretation and application of legislation, policy, and procedures in an operational environment.
  • Knowledge of risk management frameworks.
