Our client is an ASX listed company in the Healthcare sector providing specialised services to consumers and practitioners through accessible, consumer-centric, high-quality clinical healthcare services.

Role Purpose

The Procurement Specialist - Clinical will assist the business in the development, deployment and management of procurement strategies in order to deliver sustained value and competitive advantage to business units.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and manage 'source to contract' strategy

• Structuring and negotiation of product and/or service procurement strategies that deliver material benefits as recognised by the business

• Understanding business requirements and providing commercial and market insights

• Spend analysis for identification of savings across various Clinical categories

• Assist the Head of Procurement with the development, implementation and management of enterprise-wide strategies for best in class procurement and processes

• Work closely with the Category Managers and support them to plan, develop and implement their category plans

• Develop and lead tender processes including assisting with contract negotiation and implementation

• Ensure project plans are deployed and appropriate reporting is in place for the purposes of tracking benefits and project status

• Contribute to the development and embedding of Procurement processes 

• Develop, implement and maintain appropriate service/relationship models with key suppliers, business units and stakeholders

Experience Required
  • Must have at least 2 -3 years proven procurement, strategic sourcing and/or spend analytics experience
  • You will have experience in the Healthcare sector, operating within clinical settings
  • Able to execute market engagement exercises under supervision (RFx, negotiations etc.) 
  • Evidence of negotiation, analytical and excellent stakeholder relationship management skills
  • Experience in supplier performance management
  • Tertiary qualifications in commerce, economics or business
  • You MUST be currently based in Australia and have full unrestricted work rights (e.g. Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident)
