The Opportunity:

This role can be based in Melbourne, Brisbane, Hobart, Devonport, and Launceston. Responsibilities include:

  1. Build strong relationships with clients and environmental/water-related disciplines to deliver projects.
  2. Technical stewardship of the pitt&sherry Maritime Structures Team.
  3. Technical review of deliverables to ensure a technically high standard output.
  4. Mentoring and managing a small team of junior members.
  5. Management of various engineering projects across the country.
  6. Delivering coastal infrastructure projects including feasibility studies, design, and assessments.
  7. Building strong client relationships to expand presence in the Maritime sector.
  8. Complete site visits as required.
What you bring:

You should have:

  • An experienced engineer with extensive technical experience in maritime structures and ports.
  • An ability to resolve technical challenges using strong engineering foundations.
  • A desire to provide technical leadership to the Maritime and Coastal team.
  • Strong technical and numerical modeling skills.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills to translate engineering concepts for clients and colleagues.
  • Experience with engineering packages like Strand7 and Spacegass.
  • Experience with additional packages like SwanOne, SWAN-GUI, DELFT3D, IH2VOF, XBEACH is viewed favorably.
