We have an opportunity for a Finance Manager to join the Funds Management and Capital Partnering Finance team at the Stockland Sydney Head Office.
The Opportunity - About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for helping deliver the financial aspects of Stockland's funds management and capital partnering business including the implementation and operationalisation of new capital partnerships and delivering ongoing financial reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities Will Include:
- Support the Senior Finance Manager - Funds Management and Capital Partnering to deliver and provide financial reporting and financial performance insights on funds and capital partnerships - monthly, quarterly and annually.
- Collaborate with the wider Group Finance and business teams (including Treasury, Tax, Legal, Funds Management, Information Technology) to implement and embed new capital partnering opportunities, with a particular focus on finance processes and financial reporting.
- Support Stockland's compliance with fund and capital partnership deadlines, including to help deliver a materially clean audit of the fund financial statements.
- Enhance organisational effectiveness through continuous improvement and innovation.
- Undertake or participate in ad hoc projects as required.
- Partner with key internal customers or stakeholders to build and maintain strong working relationships (e.g. Group Planning, Forecasting & Analysis, Treasury, Tax, and Funds Management teams).
The ideal candidate will have:
- Appropriate tertiary qualification/s
- CA / CPA accreditation
- Experience in funds management and capital partnering
- Experience in the real estate industry, including with development projects
- Experience with SAP
- Demonstrated understanding of accounting standards and principles
- Experience in delivering high quality processes and reporting
- Confident communicator who proactively challenges and influences decision making
- Ability to manage complex and multiple projects at any given point in time
