The Liquid Technical Services (LTS) division of Cleanaway services much more than your standard collection of household waste, it opens an abundance of opportunities. Our team supports the collection, treatment, processing, and recycling of liquid and hazardous waste, including industrial waste, grease trap waste, oily waters and used mineral and cooking oils in packaged and bulk forms.

The Opportunity

The Fleet Manager is responsible for the selection and provision of a safe and compliant fleet of heavy vehicles, light vehicles, and yellow gear. You will focus on ensuring fleet is optimization and delivering operational safety and minimizing TCO (Total Cost of Ownership). Additionally, you will be responsible for:

  1. Ensure the fleet is safe and compliant through maintenance scheduling and timely repairs
  2. Building, developing, and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships with external and internal suppliers
  3. Assisting in the management of capital, expenses, budgets, and forecasts
  4. Ensuring branches have sufficient and adequate fleet resources to service customer requirements
  5. Keep abreast of industry trends and legislative changes, make recommendations, and educate fleet users on implications
  6. Travel throughout Queensland and other regions

About You

You will be a self-starter who enjoys building and developing relationships and thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The right candidate will have prior fleet management experience with the ability to analyze diverse sets of data and make recommendations. To ensure your success in this role you will also possess:

  1. Demonstrated experience in fleet management and maintenance experience
  2. A consultative communication style with the ability to influence and manage stakeholder expectations
  3. Intermediate experience using Microsoft Office Suite
  4. Knowledge of JDE, logistics or maintenance systems
  5. Exposure to transport or waste industry fleet and equipment
