Exciting opportunity for a motivated carer who is passionate about promoting health and wellbeing, to actively facilitate group activities in our day centre as well as supporting our clients to live independently in their own homes Your well-developed communication skills and zest for life, will assist you to maximise participation and engagement of our Aged care clients.
About the role:
- Providingquality personalised care to our valued aged care clients in their own homesthrough services such as General household tasks includingvacuuming, mopping, ironing, cleaning bathroom & kitchen, changing beds, hanging up washing etc.
- Assisting with personal care such as showering, dressing and grooming (if/when fully trained), meal preparation, social support, respite, transport to appointments and shopping etc.
- Facilitating group activities in our day centre with the support of our day centre Team Leader
To be successful for the role you will have:
- An Australian Driver's License and a reliable insured motor vehicle (essential)
- Certificate IIIin Individual Support Aged Care (or willing to obtain one)
- Experience supporting people with Dementia would be beneficial (but not essential)
- Previous experience working within an aged care environment
- Able to effectively facilitate group activities
- A strong work ethic along with a sense of fun
- Time Management and thinking on your feet in a fast paced and ever changing environment
- 2 Covid vaccinations
