Our client is a leading global professional services firm specializing in engineering, architecture, and construction. They are seeking an experienced Senior Cost Engineer to join their rapidly growing Delivery Phase Services team. This team is emerging as a top delivery partner for major projects in the Hydrogen, Renewable Energy, Closure, and Future Energy Minerals sectors.

The Role

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering and presenting Project Controls on assigned projects and operations. This includes Project Reporting, Estimating, Cost Engineering, Planning and Scheduling, as well as Change Management. The projects you'll work on are significant, multidisciplinary endeavors that will enable the Delivery Phase Services team to achieve outstanding results for their clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform, monitor, and review cost engineering across various projects, including cost estimating, cost control, and cost analysis across Project Delivery and Study phases
  • Produce well-designed graphs, charts, and reports for communication with key stakeholders
  • Assist in developing presentations of project detail budgets from estimates
  • Ensure financial compliance with the client's systems
  • Liaise with clients, peers, and project managers on project execution strategies from the perspective of cost engineering and general project control

Required Skills and Experience

  • Degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Construction Management (preferred but not mandatory)
  • Minimum of 4 years of related experience across multiple and diverse projects
  • Experience with Projects Controls software systems such as Prism, Ecosys, CMS, P6 (highly desirable)
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
  • Excellent communication skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work closely with peers, external customers, and client counterparts
