2023 has seen WT secure a number of high-profile $billion + projects and in line with this unparalleled growth of our pipeline the Melbourne office is expanding, in particular the M&E business are looking for an established MEP Cost Engineer to join their talented team and work across a wide variety of build, construction and property projects.Core Responsibilities:Develop and maintain cost estimates for engineering services onprojectsConduct cost analysis on engineering projects and provide accurate estimates for materials, labour, and other expensesPrepare and submit detailed cost estimates and budgets for projectsAdvise project managers on cost-saving measures and cost-effective solutionsEvaluate and analyze project plans, specifications, and contractsAnalyze and review contractor bids to ensure accuracy and completenessPrepare bills of quantities for materials, labour, and equipment required for the projectWork with engineers, project managers, and other project stakeholders to ensure that the project meets all requirements and regulationsManage contracts and agreements with suppliers and contractorsMonitor and report on project expenses and ensure that project finances are properly managedProvide regular reports and updates to senior management and other stakeholdersQualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related fieldMinimum of 2years of experience in cost engineering or construction cost estimatingStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsKnowledge of engineering materials, building regulations, and construction methodsExperience with estimating software and toolsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAdditional Information
