Are you a self-motivated financial crime professional looking to step into a leadership role? Join us as a Lead Process Designer and become an integral part of our commitment to financial crime compliance.
About the role:
Reporting to the Program Director, you will be supporting the Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) Program of Action and coordinating remediation plan activities for the enhancement of AML/CTF compliance practices in response to AUSTRAC’s compliance assessment (CAR).
Further, this role is responsible for supporting process optimisation efforts from strategic programs of work (FCC) through to task-level tactical improvements, collaborating with a broad range of stakeholders to streamline processes and enhance customer experience.
What you’ll do:
- Driving innovation within end-to-end processes, including capitalising on new technology and embedding future-proof solutions within our core processes
- Supporting end-to-end process design from problem identification and definition, root cause analysis, option generation, solution design and signoff, implementation, change management and benefits realisation
- Working with Performance Analysts, monitoring the ongoing performance of critical business processes and identifying areas for improvement in line with business requirements and priorities
- Ensuring that the Bank’s process architecture is maintained and governed effectively, including implementation and maintenance of the Process Design Framework to drive quality and consistency across the portfolio
- Reviewing and providing feedback on process artefacts including the Statement of Work, Process Risk Assessments and other key documentation to support process design
- Collaboration with a broad range of stakeholders including the Senior Bank Leadership team, Product, risk operations functions, as well as, across a diverse range of Bank and FCC delivery teams
- Embedding a culture of effective risk management which includes designing a robust control environment for new/existing processes and ensuring adequate engagement from relevant risk, compliance, legal and credit representatives (as required).
What you’ll bring:
- 5-10 years’ experience in process design, process improvement, operational excellence or project management, preferably in Financial Services industry
- Demonstrable experience in continuous improvement, problem solving, business design methodologies (e.g. Lean, Human-Centred Design, Six-Sigma)
- Experience with process modelling and associated methodologies (e.g. BPMN, ARIS, Visio)
- Experience in project management and delivery including associated methodologies (e.g. Agile, PRINCE2, PMBoK)
- Strong leadership skills to develop and manage a high-performing team
- Exceptional stakeholder management and engagement skills to build strong relationships with key stakeholders
- Excellent decision making and problem solving
- Strategic mindset with a proven ability to think big and untangle complexity
