Senior Marketing Analyst

ING, Australia is looking for a Senior Marketing Analyst who is a proactive problem solver, passionate about analytics and proving the value of marketing in driving positive business outcomes.
The Senior Marketing Analyst will be responsible in leading the Marketing effectiveness function within ING. This position will be accountable for overseeing the efficienct and effective use of our marketing investments and initiatives. Working directly with the Retail Banking Leadership Team and key senior leaders within the product tribes, finance department and Marketing Leadership Team he/ she will be responsible for ensuring the strategic allocation and efficient utilization of our marketing budget and will be responsible to oversee and manage the allocation of the marketing budget against key business objectives every year.
As the lead subject matter expert in marketing effectiveness, his/ her primary objective will be to enhance our data-driven decisioning-making capabilities at help drive important decisions at an executive level. The senior marketing analyst will also be tasked with advancing our marketing effectiveness mindset beyond the marketing team and is expected to champion this with senior leaders in Retail Product, CI and Finance. To excel in this role you will need to apply particular focus on improving our ability to meet the following core competencies:
You'll also be growing and managing the comprehensive marketing analytics platform, building and voicing demonstration of marketing business value, and establishing and fostering marketing effectiveness methodologies within the marketing team.

What You'll Do
- Drive data driven decisioning on key marketing and business questions together with senior product leads and executive stakeholders
- Demonstrate commercial acumen and drive effectiveness lense and approach across the business and grow that relationship with executive stakeholders including product, finance and marketing
- Manage overall marketing budget based on key metrics such as Marketing Return on investment, Cost per acquisition and Return on Ad spends. Extracting insight from historic marketing campaigns/activity/investment
- Work with different business partners and external vendors to use the marketing mix modelling platform and complex econometric modelling to accurately inform what the future marketing outcomes will be.
- Build dashboards on key Brand and Marketing effectiveness metrics that will be shared locally with EXCO, board & globally up to MBB level in HQ.
What We're Looking For
- Proven expertise using dashboarding tools and tech - specifically Tableau, Google Data Studio, Power BI
- 7-10 years experience in a similar role, ideally within a marketing organisation or agency analysing mix media impact (tv, OOH, digital, etc), engaging with senior stakeholders
- Experience with working with/ using Marketing Mix modelling or similar tools to analyse overall marketing impact, evaluate financial outcomes of marketing campaigns, use MMM as a tool to forecast or build marketing related business case.
- Well versed in understanding how paid media such TV, OOH, digital marketing and below the line marketing activities impact business objectives.
- Experience scoping and delivering statistical analysis e.g. regression modelling such as linear, logistic, and time series data
- Experience working with digital advertising platforms e.g. Google and Adobe
- Strong verbal and written skills with ability to effectively communicate highly complex findings to non-statistical audience
- The ability to work under pressure with conflicting priorities and tight timelines
