The ICT Procurement team within the Information Technology Branch serves as the Department's centre of excellence in relation to end-to-end ICT procurement. ICT Procurement are seeking a high performing, energised, team-player to join our team as a Senior Sourcing Specialist.

As our Senior Sourcing Specialist, you will work as part of a dynamic procurement team to provide strategic advice on procurement initiatives and deliver activities that meet stakeholder objectives and achieve results.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
• Provide professional support to customers with expert, authoritative and timely advice primarily relating to ICT procurement.
• Lead and manage ICT procurement activities in partnership with internal stakeholders across multiple branches of TMR including procurement planning and documentation, evaluation and supplier negotiation and contract development (QITC - Queensland Information Technology Contracting Framework).
• Deliver value for money procurement outcomes and benefits through well managed strategic sourcing activities and contract negotiations that drive accountability, probity, consistency and transparency.
• Understand and leverage better procurement practices, innovation and market intelligence in the category by building and maintaining relationships with suppliers, industry, peer organisations and other external stakeholders.
• Prepare reports, briefing notes and other correspondence in accordance with departmental standards.

Mandatory qualifications and conditions
• Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role.

Requirements of the role
• A relevant tertiary qualification and/or professional certification in procurement would be highly desirable
• Sound knowledge and application of Queensland Information Technology Contracting (QITC) Framework.
• Sound knowledge and application of Queensland Government Procurement Policy 2023 (or similar).
• Desire to work in a high performing, agile ICT Procurement team who are leading the way in innovative and adaptive ICT procurement practices and projects.
