The role


We have an exciting, newly created opportunity for an Internal Communications Specialist to lead our internal communications initiatives. Reporting to the Group Communications Manager, this role is crucial in identifying and promoting business outcomes, and involves crafting, editing, and organising high-quality, engaging internal communications.

We are looking for a digitally savvy communications professional, with a ‘can-do’ attitude and excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.

Please note this is a part-time role, 22.5 hours per week.

What you will be doing
 

  • Developing and executing impactful and comprehensive internal communication strategies aligned with the Group strategy, organisational objectives, values, and culture.
  • Leading the development of communication plans and campaigns for key priorities, initiatives and projects.
  • Proactively developing and delivering high quality content and communications, both written and digital (video, graphics, branding collateral), across all internal channels.
  • Overseeing the measurement of internal communication campaigns.
  • Supporting the delivery of employee events, including Town Halls.
  • Understanding industry trends and applying this knowledge across our internal communications campaigns.

Our ideal candidate has relevant experience in internal communications and employee engagement, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills used to craft compelling content for a range of different audiences. You will have a proactive and collaborative mind-set, while bringing energy and experience to the role.

You will demonstrate strategic thinking and planning abilities, with a proven track record of executing successful communication strategies and campaigns. Moreover, you will be proficient in using communication and digital tools such as intranet systems, email marketing software, SharePoint, Canva, and social collaboration tools.
