Location: Sydney, Australia

Role: Part-time (20 hours a week – 4 hours a day).

Work-setup: Hybrid (2 days a week)

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THE ROLE:

In a highly competitive and saturated market place creating visually stunning, impactful andeffective creative work is essential. To help us deliver this we are looking for a strong,inspirational Creative Director – renowned for their work across this category – to join us on ourjourney.

The role will be based onsite in healthcare brand’s offices. As a senior member of the studio, theCreative Director will be working directly for some of the most renowned brands in the worldand one of the largest advertisers in the industry.

The Creative Director will effectively and efficiently oversee and direct conceptual and designprojects, and will ultimately be responsible for the quality of ideas and the end-to-end designexecution of jobs, from brief through to implementation and delivery. The Creative Director willhave responsibility for overseeing multiple simultaneous live projects, each one typicallyassigned a Lead Creator or Designer, who, in collaboration with the Project Manager, will reportto the Creative Director for the duration of the project.

We are looking for a multi-skilled creative that will direct, inspire, lead and support all levels ofdesign and creative talent across the account, defining and advancing a positive and highlyproductive design culture for IIG.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • To champion creativity and excellent client centricity.
  • To creatively direct conceptual designers / graphic designers / art workers, harnessing their development and performance, in a manner that assures maximum efficiency and creativity.
  • To manage, supervise, review and audit the work of designers and art workers to ensurethe creative level expected of IIG is being met.
  • To help drive maximum efficiency, productivity and the maintenance of the highestquality of creative concept, design and artwork.
  • To work with and support the IIG team to deliver excellent client service.
  • To work actively with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure the delivery of thehighest level of client service from IIG.
  • To oversee, manage and review new creative concepts to both new and existing clients.
  • To act as brand guardian to ensure all design collateral produced is faithful to the client’sbrand guidelines.
  • On occasion, undertake the design of digital collateral, to the client’s brief and exacting
  • standards and within agreed timeframes.
  • To effectively organise and prioritise workload, especially around deadline, and have theflexibility to respond to increases in workload/ tight deadlines.

Key responsibilities:

Design & Design Culture:

  • To work with the wider SMT to establish creative strategy for the account.
  • To motivate and influence the creative team to constantly strive for excellence inperformance.
  • To proactively monitor the quality of design projects being produced and submitted byleading internal review sessions and seeking feedback from both internal and externalstakeholders.
  • To oversee and manage the timely delivery of all jobs / projects going through the studio,always taking into consideration the clients’ requirements and expectations.
  • To investigate, propose and implement innovative ways of delivering design services to maximise efficiency and productivity.
  • To actively oversee and manage team meetings, forward scheduling meetings and work review meetings.
  • To manage, oversee and coordinate the sharing of knowledge and the facilitation oflearning within the team and all other employees to improve business practices, refineprocesses, aid and promote the development of creative ideas and introduce new services.
  • To organise monthly work / successes / learnings / presentations to the wider SMT teamto showcase work from the studio/ team managed.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE GREAT IN THIS ROLE:

As the senior design practitioner within the Creative team, the Creative Director will combinefirst-class design expertise, creativity and thought leadership with commercial acumen andleadership gravitas.

The Creative Director will:

  • Must haveexperience working with a brand in a Global role. This doesn’t mean they’ve worked on a global brand in Australia but that they have actual international experience of working on brands in various markets (UK / US preferred) or have been in a global role in Australia working on a brand that does international campaigns (not just APAC – must include outside of region).
  • Be hands-on with a strong focus on digital.
  • Be experienced in directing complex, commercial, design projects involving seniorstakeholders and interdisciplinary creative teams with strong experience across FMCG
  • and Healthcare.
  • Be highly creative with the ability to generate ideas and practically contribute to design
  • details, importantly demonstrating exceptional pure graphic design and typography skills. • Have deep technical design skills in one or more discipline, e.g. Content Creation, Design
  • for Digital, Brand Immersion, Events, Design for Print, User Experience, etc.
  • Have a proven ability to communicate and liaise with all levels in the business.
  • Have a proven ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, including outside the design
  • team.
  • Have a proven ability to effective manage creative teams.
  • Have Director level written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking.
  • Be proficient in Adobe CC, Microsoft Office and other related software.
  • Be a driven, proactive, helpful, and enthusiastic team player.
  • Based in Sydney – willing to go into the office at least 2 days a week.
