Summary:
The IT Operations Manager oversees an organisation's IT infrastructure, ensuring that all systems are functioning optimally to support the company's goals. They manage the IT department budget, develop and implement IT policies and procedures, and collaborate with other departments to integrate technology with business operations.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of the organization's IT systems
- Develop, implement and manage IT policies and procedures
- Manage the IT department budget and track spending
- Ensure technology compliance with regulatory requirements
- Manage the development and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans
- Monitor the performance of the IT team and provide support where necessary
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure the integration of technology with business operations
- Lead the selection and implementation of new technology projects, including software and hardware
- Report to senior management on the performance of IT systems and identify areas for improvement
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
- 5+ years of experience in IT operations management
- Experience managing IT budgets and teams
- Strong knowledge of IT security and regulatory compliance
- Significant experience with disaster recovery and business continuity planning
- Experience with project management methodologies
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
