**Your personal sphere of play**:
The Division of Microbial Ecology (DoME) at the Centre of Microbiology and Environmental Systems Science is a creative and ambitious team that conducts internationally leading research in the field of microbial ecology.
We are searching for a Postdoctoral Researcher with expertise in bioinformatic analyses relevant to the study of virus ecology and evolution.

**Duration of employment**:3 years

**Extent of Employment**: 40 hours/week

Job grading in accordance with collective bargaining agreement: -48 VwGr. B1 lit. b (postdoc) with relevant work experience determining the assignment to a particular salary grade.

**Your future tasks**:
The successful applicant will work in close collaboration with different research groups within the The Cluster of Excellence 'Microbiomes Drive Planetary Health'
. Essential: previous experience in bioinformatic analyses of microbiome data, high ability to express yourself both orally and in writing, good organizational skills, ability to work independently but also in a large team, good command of English. Preferred but not essential: previous experience with bioinformatics of viruses, long-read sequencing, working with patient data, nucleic acid extractions, and sample preparation for targeted metagenomic sequencing.**What we offer**:
