In our department Electric / Electronics (EE), especially in the group Functional Software Development, we are offering the following topics for one internship, optional for a thesis:
Extension of a combustion engine model for the realistic modelling of engine starts in extreme environments on a real-time simulator (HiL test bench)

Extension of a powertrain model (combustion engine and/or electric drive) to realistically simulate dynamic driving situations on a real-time simulator (HiL test bench)

Your new adventure

Internship lasting several months to work on one of the above-mentioned topics

Programming and evaluation with MATLAB and modeling with Simulink

Testing the created software (components) on the test bench in cooperation with the test bench employees#

Your contribution

Ongoing studies (mechatronics, mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, or similar) with an interest in control engineering and power sports vehicles

Sound knowledge of MATLAB and Simulink, initial experience in control engineering and identification procedures

Interest in programming tasks in the sense of developing functional software for control units

Enthusiasm for activities on the test bench

Good knowledge of German and good knowledge of English is an advantage

open-minded and inquisitive personality with a reliable and independent working style and enjoyment of teamwork

We offer

You will receive a gross monthly salary of EUR 1,841.04 (full-time) in accordance with the collective agreement (metal industry).

As a fully-fledged member of the team and integrated into the daily work routine, you will gain practical experience and get to know the activities in the department.
