The Department of Government is looking for an university assistant (post poc) as a temporary replacement with good knowledge of political bahavior and of quantitative methods in the Social Sciences. The position is located within the team of Univ.Prof. Dr. Sylvia Kritzinger. The position is to be fillled from October 2, 2023 and is initially limited to 4 months.

The position is vacant for the period of absence of a member of staff.

Your future position is at the Department of Government, characterized by excellent research in comparative European and Austrian politics.

The department is part of the Faculty of Social Sciences. Staff and students appreciate internationality, outstanding research projects, interdisciplinary cooperation and exchange between colleagues.

**Your future tasks**:

- You develope and strengthen an independent research profile
- You are involved in research projects and scientific studies
- International publishing and presentation activities
- You hold courses independently within the scope of the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement
- You supervise your students
- Participation in administration of the department

**This is part of your personality**:

- Completed doctoral/PhD studies in Political Science
- Research interest in political behavior
- Experience with survey methods and statistical analysis as well as with a software like Stata, R
- Excellent or very good command of written and spoken English
- Ability to work in a team
