**DevOps Lead for Engineering Support (f/m/x)**:
Thales is a global system supplier of interlocking technology, train control technology, operations control centers, automatic warning systems and field elements.

The Engineering Support Team is responsible for providing development teams state-of-the-art development environments, supporting integrating CI/CD best practices in project tool chains, and coordinating DevOps methods used in different products in order to allow efficient execution of engineering projects. The Engineering Support Team also provides user support for the engineering tool chain.

As part of the Engineering Support Team you will contribute to the design and development of rail transportation products by supporting projects with migration to cloud native architectures and by guiding them on topics like containerization and integration in private/public cloud environments.

**Your CHALLENGE**:

- Act as Product Owner for the standard engineering tool chain, considering Group guidelines, business line (GTS/MLS) strategies, and local project needs,
- Plan, communicate, and supervise changes to the engineering tool chain, e.g. version upgrades or major configuration changes, relying on the individual Service Owners for technical expertise,
- Interface and coordinate with IS/IT on all topics affecting engineering tool deployment and operation,
- Support products and projects with setting up product-specific CI/CD pipelines,
- Take responsibility for user support, training, and coaching relating to the engineering tool chain,
- Contribute to business and budget planning within your area of responsibility

**Your profile**:

- ~ 3 years of experience in system engineering, software development, or tool integration
- Completed university or equivalent study at master level in computer science, software engineering or a related field
- Experience with state-of-the art CI/CD pipelines and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with project coordination and people management
- Experience with public and/or private cloud environments (AWS, Azure, OpenStack) is beneficial
- Experience with working in an international context (multi-unit/multi-site) is beneficial
- Experience in agile methodology is beneficial
- Fluency in English and a good level of German
- Innovative, adaptable and customer-oriented team player
