The Public Health Nutrition Group at the Department of Nutritional Sciences is looking for support for the Coplant Study, a large-scale cohort study on different health aspects of plant-based diets. You will carry out examiniations and assessments during the study. In addition, existing datasets on plant-based diets and health will be evaluated. In our working group, you will find a friendly and collaborative environment, with the opportunity to engage in the set-up of a multicentre study together with an interdisciplinary team.

The employment relationship is initially limited to 1.5 years and is automatically extended to a total of 4 years, unless the employer submits a declaration of non-renewal after a maximum of 12 months.

**Extent of Employment**: 30 hours/week

Job grading in accordance with collective bargaining agreement: -48 VwGr. B1 Grundstufe (praedoc) with relevant work experience determining the assignment to a particular salary grade.

The PhD project is embedded in a large-scale human cohort study on the health aspects of plant-based diets. Your tasks include participant recruitment and management as well as physical examinations. Moreover, you will be in charge of data processing and evaluation by softwares such as SAS or R. You will also work on scientific publications.

**Profile**:
Diploma, MSc or MA degree in life sciences or natural sciences;
Fluency in German, a very good command of English, and excellent communication skills are mandatory.

Experience and skills in at least some of the areas of human studies, epidemiology and statistics, data evaluation (SAS, R, STATA, or SPSS), and scientific writing are required.

A qualification as a nurse or medical technical assistant prior to university would be an advantage, but is not mandatory.

Ability to work in teams, social competencies, ability to work under pressure, high level of motivation.
