UMIT TIROL - Private University of Health Sciences and Health Technology is an accredited, internationally recognized private university owned by the State of Tyrol and the Leopold Franzens University Innsbruck (LFUI) with its headquarters in Hall in Tyrol/Austria.

The Institute of Electrical and Biomedical Engineering in the Department for Biomedical Computer Science and Mechatronics has an immediate vacancy for a:
Junior Scientist with the possibility to obtain a doctorate degree (Dr. techn.)

with an employment rate of 100% (40 hours / week) and a fixed-term employment contract of initially 3 years.

**Your Tasks**:

- Independent research in EEG/MEG source analysis (with the goal of writing a dissertation), such as.
- Development and evaluation of novel approaches to solve the EEG/MEG forward and inverse problem.
- Sensitivity analysis and uncertainty quantification in EEG/MEG source analysis
- Machine learning in EEG/MEG source analysis
- Application of novel approaches in EEG/MEG source analysis in clinical scenarios (e.g., epilepsy).
- Participation in research projects in the above-mentioned areas
- Participation in teaching and own teaching

**Your Profile**:

- Relevant university diploma or master's degree in biomedical engineering, mechatronics, electrical engineering, mathematics, or physics
- Interest in research and interdisciplinary scientific work
- Very good knowledge of English language
- Ability to work in a team, communication skills

The gross annual salary for this position is € 37,800.00. An overpayment is possible depending on qualifications and experience.
