**About the job**

As Product Management Director you will be responsible for the portfolio of Basic Bricks of RHI Magnesita globally. You will lead a team of Product Managers from a managerial and technical standpoint, ensuring that the correct resources are allocated and that adequate processes are in place to deliver outstanding results. Your goal is to maintain a lean portfolio of basic bricks, maximizing profitability and reducing environmental impact, in accordance with the Corporate Strategy.

**In addition, your tasks will include**
- Foster an optimized management of the portfolio of basic bricks products
- Ensure, in accordance with the Corporate Strategy, that there is a match between RHIM innovation and actual market demand.
- Act as Project Owner for selected product development and transfers, ensuring long term growth in Sales for basic bricks
- Ensure success and resource allocation within the team of Product Managers for: Product Transfers, Product Development and Strategic Projects.
- Partaking in the final decision on Patent Protection.

**About You**

You are a strong communicator with a collaborative attitude. Communication skills for this position are very important, to bridge with SCM, TE&S and R&D departments on a more strategical level to ensure product development and transfers are executed in a quick and effective manner. With your great enthusiasm and creative mindset, you bring new ideas to the table, not only as an individual but also together with your colleagues. You work well in cross-functional teams and are not afraid to take responsibility and make decisions. With your hands-on mentality, structured approach and analytical skills, you proactively seek to improve the status quo. You see change as something positive, can adapt quickly and you like to courageously help shaping the future of RHI Magnesita.

**What we expect from you in terms of**

**Education**
- A higher education in engineering (metallurgy, materials sciences, process engineering, chemistry or similar)
- Master or PhD are a plus

**Languages**
- English - Proficient/Fluent
- Any other language is considered as an asset

**Work Experience**
- Several years of relevant working experience
- Extensive knowledge of the refractory industry
- Proven experience in managing technical teams
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint
