Reporting into the Brand Finance Manager, the Financial Planning Analyst is responsible for supporting ongoing financial forecasting, planning and reporting. The Analyst assists with the development of financial models to support decision making related to key business priorities (e.g. new product development analysis, product portfolio analysis, expense/investment analysis). The Financial Planning Analyst assists with the preparation and analysis of actual results versus forecast. The Analyst has a key role in ensuring accurate running of the Financial Planning Systems and ensuring timely and accurate data submissions to the HQ finance team.
- Assists with the month end close and financial reporting activities including monthly business/budget reviews, LBEs and preparation of related review packages with variance analysis/commentary on sales, expenses and headcount
- Assists with variance analysis and commentary for planning cycles and management reporting under direct guidance of Manager.
- Provides accurate and timely financial planning and analysis deliverables to direct Manager and wider Finance team.
- Assists brand business managers with financial support and analysis
- Supports Finance Shared Service monthly close and financial reporting processes by reviewing results and providing variance commentary, which may include P&L, headcount and balance sheet components
- Supports with ongoing automation of key business reports utilizing the TM1 based Affiliate Planning System and Power BI.
- Support with the submission of financial forecasts (LRP, Plan and LBE) to Region, Area and Corporate utilizing BPC.
- Provides Business Partnering support to the Medical and Commercial Brand teams ensuring accurate promotion and project sprend forecasts are submitted and key projects are appropriately funded.
- Responsible with headcount cost forecasting.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) required in Finance or Accounting preferred.
- Minimum 4+ years of related commercial finance experience.
- Strong communication skills.
- Proficient Excel skills required
- Experience of working in a matrix organization
- Ambition to progress into Brand Finance Manager role
- Experience with TM1, BPC, PowerBI and SAP preferred.
