We are currently looking for an **Actuarial Consulting Manager Senior (m/w/d)** to become part of our team that supports our German clients.
**About the Team**
FIS’ Insurance Business provides mission-critical software and services to institutions in virtually every segment of the insurance services industry across the Globe. Within the Capital Markets Division, our team members located across the globe, focus on supporting the Life Insurance, Health Insurance, General Insurance (GI), and Pension or Retirement Product marketplaces with our globally acclaimed and market leading FIS Insurance Risk Suite (Prophet) software.
You will join a global Risk Consulting Services team which is responsible for delivering consultancy services during the implementation of the FIS Insurance Risk Suite solution. Your focus will be on leading, guiding and delivering actuarial consulting services for the Insurance Risk Suite (Life Insurance clients), and you will work in a team of highly skilled and extremely knowledgeable individuals with experience of major migrations, conversions and implementations across the World for various global insurance companies
**What you will be doing**
The Senior Actuarial Manager role based in Europe is a key client facing role within the Risk Consulting Services business at FIS, and there will be responsibilities to support developing the growth of this part of the FIS Consulting Services business. It is expected you will work closely alongside other members of the Risk Consulting Services team on client delivery engagements. You will report to an Actuarial Director in our business and provide:
- Subject matter expertise and best practice advice on the Prophet Life solution for FIS client implementations covering the Liability & ALS libraries in Prophet
- Participation and assistance in Prophet new business sales pursuits with clients and prospects for Prophet solution implementations
- The role will be both managing team members and hands on Prophet coding and delivering to tight specifications and deadlines
- Insights into emerging DACH market demands and focus on growth opportunities for future Consulting business development
In the role you will bring an extremely strong client presence and focus with the ability to lead and facilitate workshops and meetings with both clients and new prospects. You will be expected to be flexible, adaptable and professional in your approach to working with clients. The role will also involve travel to support client meetings and projects, with an expectation of travel being 25% on average.
For key Prophet clients you will be involved in leading and delivering the following types of Prophet engagements:
- Implementing the actuarial code provided with the Prophet libraries for Life, ALM and IFRS17 modelling
- Prototyping and implementing solutions in Prophet for IFRS17 and integration within an end-to-end solution
- Reviewing the design and structure of Prophet code being developed for Prophet Life client projects
**What you bring**
- A qualified Actuary (or equivalent experience), with a specialism in Life Insurance and a minimum of 15 years working experience
- A strong background in the life assurance industry’s regulatory and reporting frameworks including Market Consistent Embedded Values (MCEV), Solvency II and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- A strong background in Prophet modelling system implementations:
- Involvement in key business projects using Prophet
- Implementations with Prophet’s Liability and ALS libraries
- Familiar with the Data Conversion System (DCS) and Prophet Excel Reporting
- Familiar with potential performance bottlenecks and solutions when using Prophet
- Experience of the business implications and impact on Prophet modelling in relation to Valuation methods, Pricing, Asset / Liability Modelling, Stochastic Modelling and Analysis of Change
- Fluent in German & English with excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
- Skilled at stakeholder management and communicating effectively with clients
- Knowledge of DACH financial services industry and the current regulatory regimes for Life insurers (e.g. IFRS17, Capital Management)
- Experience working on technology implementation projects, either in-house or in a vendor/consultancy environment
