**About the job**

In this role you will lead a team of experts serving non-ferrous metals (NFM) customers globally. By understanding the demands and operation models of our customers, you will convert different technologies into the right products, solutions, and services from our portfolio, for the management of their refractory-related processes. Furthermore, you will be responsible for driving strategic innovations & developments through cooperation with internal and external partners, focussing on our company’s strategy in sustainability, CO2 reduction, digitalization, and safety. In this role, you will travel globally for approx. 30-50% of your working time.

**In addition, your tasks will include**
- Developing strategies to enter new customer projects, understanding key user and stakeholder needs as well as the technology available on the market.
- Managing and evaluating our NFM patent portfolio, and defining the strategies to protect and secure products, systems, and solutions through close collaboration with the IP department.
- Providing technical know-how to improve our profitability by the means of improved cost-performance offerings, support to quotations teams and improved design solutions.
- Ensuring the communication of the annual budget for sales, equipment, system and service requirements, personnel, and expenses, aiming at the consolidation of strategic goals and giving direction to achieve results.
- Cooperating with external partners (e.g., research institutes, universities, toll-manufacturers, and resales partners) to improve the profitability of our long-term portfolio.
- Managing product transfers and diversification of our production footprint.

**What we expect from you in terms of**

**Education & Skills**
- A master’s degree in Materials, Metallurgy, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering or similar (a PhD will be considered an asset)
- Advanced Project, Product, and Innovation Management skills
- Experience in Marketing & Sales, R&D or related innovation areas is a plus
- Advanced MS-Office skills
- Intermediate SAP skills
- An innovative and cross functional approach

**Languages**
- English - Advanced
- German - Basic
- Any other language will be considered an asset

**Work Experience**
- Several years experience in refractories with a strong focus on marketing, product management or sales, preferably related to base metals and ferroalloy industries
- Experience in a management position is a plus
- Extensive knowledge of the refractory industry and products

The annual gross salary for this position will start from € 80.000,00 on a full-time basis, depending on your qualification and experience, as well as the amount of overtime and your level of seniority. We will make sure to offer you a competitive salary package that values your relevant background and that’s in line with market values.
